Scope:

The objective of this Workshop is to provide an international forum for the discussion of recent developments and advances in the field of mathematical investigation of generalized solutions (GS) in control problems: discontinuous, impulse, sliding modes, minimizing sequences, etc. including those ones for distributed systems.

Prospective student authors should submit an extended abstract of their paper to NOC by e-mail (gscp@cprc.botik.ru) or by regular mail together with the registration form (marked by "S"). The length of the abstract should be within two typed pages. The cover page should contain:

1) title
2) authors' names
3) affiliation and address, fax-number, e-mail address, telephone number. In the case of joint authorship, the first name mentioned will be used for all correspondence, unless otherwise requested. The Latex file of the paper have to be submitted to NOC by e-mail or at the registration desk.

Other participants have to fill the registration form only.

The papers presented at the Workshop can be submitted for publication in the Automation and Remote Control Journal

Conference Venue:

The Workshop will be held at the base of International Computer Camp of PSI RAS on the beach of the famous Plestcheevo lake 10 km from the center of Pereslavl-Zalessky city, an ancient Russian town located on the Golden Ring of Russia within 130 km from Moscow. In the Summer of 2002 the town celebrates its 850 anniversary.

The working languages of the workshop will be English and Russian.

There will be a cultural program including excursions to historic and scenic sites of the Golden Ring.

Registration fee is $US 150. It covers cultural program, official reception, coffee-breaks, abstracts preprint and should be paid at the registration desk. Other expenses (accomodation, meal, banquet, excursions, etc.) are not covered by registration fee and should be paid by participants themselves .The living expences will approximately be $US 35-55 for accommodation and meal per day depending on the room category.

Full fee covering all services will be $US 500.

One can reach Perslavl by a regular bus from Moscow Central Bus Station near Stchelkovskaya (Щелковская) underground station. The Special bus with <GSCP-2002> emblem will be waiting for participants August 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. near hotel Cosmos (Космос), ВДНХ underground Station. Foreign participants arriving by plane will be met in Sheremet'evo 2 International Airport on receiving of informatiom about arrival time and flight number.
