Editing postscript files

If you get a PostScript file from a third-party source, if often happens that the printout is incorrectly positioned on the sheet of paper. In this case, you can edit the postscript file manually with a text editor to get the desired result.

To adjust the position of text on a page, insert, after the appropriate line beginning with

%%Page:

a line of the following form:

20 40 translate

In this example:
20 is the horizontal shift (positive values -- to the right),
40 is the vertical shift (positive value -- upwards).
