The cypriot package provides a Metafont version of a
syllabic script which was used on Cyprus for writing Greek.
The script was in use between approximately the tenth and third
centuries BC.
It is one of a series of archaic fonts.

The distribution consists of the following files:
README (this file)
cypriot.ins
cypriot.dtx
tryfont.tex

The distribution is provided under the terms of the LaTeX
Project Public License (LPPL).

    To install the package:
o run: latex cypriot.ins, which will generate:
       cypr*.mf files
       *.fd files
       cypriot.sty
o Move the generated files to locations where LaTeX will find them.
For example: the cypr*.mf files to .../texmf/fonts/source/public/cypriot
the *.fd and .sty files to /texmf/tex/latex/local/cypriot
On a teTeX distribution you might also have to add the following
    line to texmf/fontname/special.map:
      cypr10.mf public cypriot
On a teTeX distribution remember to run texhash after moving the files.

    To get the documentation:
NOTE: It is useful, but not essential, to have access to the docmfp package.
If this is not available, read the first few lines of cypriot.dtx
      as to what to do.
o run: latex cypriot.dtx
o if you want an index, run: makeindex -s gind.ist cypriot
o run: latex cypriot.dtx
o Print cypriot.dvi for a hardcopy of the package manual
o run: latex tryfont for a testpage of the Cypriot font
