              E-mail interruption last weekend
             ==================================

This is to let everyone know that in case they had tried to contact
the TUG office this past weekend, but received their message back,
with a note about unknown UUCP !! connections and all ... this is
*NOT* a problem associated with the office move (which only begins
today, June 21st, 1995).

Our Executive Director has informed us that the interruption in
service was due entirely to the current Internet provider:

> ... they changed servers over the weekend and failed to transfer the
> uucp files, so everyone with a uucp connection was "unknown" to the
> new server. 

> this latest trauma is now over ... but we will be very happy to be
> in our new home and with a new domain name server. ...

The TUG address -- tug@tug.org -- continues to be valid, and mail
should no longer be bouncing, provided the local service provider has
fixed the error. If you experience any further difficulties, please be
patient. It is beyond our control.
