Yuri L. Sachkov is the chief of Control theory laboratory at Program Systems Institute and a full professor at University of Pereslavl, Russia. In 1999--2001, he was also a postdoc fellow with the research group on Geometric Control Theory at SISSA (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati), Trieste, Italy.
His research interests are in Geometric Nonlinear Control Theory: subRiemannian geometry, right-invariant control systems on Lie groups and bilinear systems.
Yuri L. Sachkov is a managing editor of the Journal of Dynamical and Control Systems, Springer.
