Pleshcheyevo Lake is famous for its fish. Ryapushka is the fish which lives in the lake since the sea was here. The scientists say that the sea fish lives in the lake because of the clean water and constant temperature.

The Russian Navy began on Lake Pleshcheyevo. Tsar Peter the Great began building the "poteshny" (toy) fleet here. See Botik Museum-Estate.
